During my time in digital media production, I wanted to create things that I was passionate about. When an assignment felt open I tried to think of something I really wanted to do. The great thing about media production is seeing your own personal flair in the things you've made.
I had to experiment with several different mediums, some of which I had very little experience in and some of which I had none in. I've done mostly film in the past and recognized the software like photoshop so I knew the generals of what I was doing. It was a strange feeling of alien familiarity when I used the programs.
Needless to say, I did my best to inject my own style into my work and I am happy with the way they all turned out.
Podcast
In this podcast, I interview one of the co-founders of The Metrograph, an art cinema in New York City. I ask about how it started up and how it is doing during the pandemic. There is much insight into how COVID has affected businesses, especially cinema.
This was the first time I really started experimenting with photography. I tried to focus on composition at first, something I can recognize in films, but I then tried experimenting with camera settings and got some pretty cool looking photos.
